Small Earthquake in Marmara Sea

Last night some people in Istanbul felt the three-second shake originating in the Marmara Sea.

Last night (27 April) at 10.03 pm, an earthquake of 4.1 on the Richter scale took place in the Marmara Sea, off the coast of Tekirdağ, in Thrace.

According to Ntvmsnbc, the earthquake lasted three seconds. It was felt in towns and cities bordering the Marmara Sea in tne north and also in Istanbul, particularly on the coast.

There was no loss of life or damage to property.

The source of the quake was 14 km below sea level. (AG)
