Büyükanit and Erdogan Meet to Discuss Operations

Prime Minister Erdogan and Chief of General Staff Büyükanit have met in order to talk about developments concerning possible cross-border operations.

According to the Hürriyet news website, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Chief of General Staff General Yasar Büyükanit met at the Prime Minsterial Residence on Wednesday (21 November) afternoon in order to discuss developments concerning cross-border operations.

The meeting is said to have lasted for one hour and twenty minutes. Büyükanit left the building without making any statements.

The meeting was also concerned with the visit of US generals to Turkey and the "instantaneous exchange of intelligence" with the USA.

According to Cnntürk's news website, at a meeting with US generals on the previous day, the sharing of intelligence, the latest steps taken by the Northern Iraqi regional government against the PKK, possible cross-border operations and the prevention of accidental clashes between US and Turkish planes in the case of operations were discussed.
