Explosion In Üsküdar, Three Injured

There was an explosion in a garbage bin in front of a municipality building in Üsküdar, Istanbul at 9:25 in the morning.

According to the police department, there were four mortar fires. Three workers were lightly injured.

DHA reporter Ramazan Almaçayır reporting to NTV about the explosion said that there were more than one blasts according to the witnesses and two people ran away from the scene after the explosion.

NTV reporter İrfan Bozan said a mortar mechanism was found at the place of the explosion. Since it is 500 meters from the explosion site, the municipality building, to the Army Command Post at the Selimiye Barracks, it is thought that the target was the Selimiye Barracks, but since an old mechanism was used, the shells fell short.(EZÖ/TB)
