Turkish Armed Forces Hits 16 Targets In Northern Iraq

The Turkish Armed Forces hit 16 PKK targets in the Kandil region in Northern Iraq. According to the news agencies located in Northern Iraq, the fighter planes hit six villages.

The General Staff announced that the fighter planes hit 16 targets in the Kandil region in Northern Iraq on the night of September 25.

On the other hand, according to the report by Pukmedia located in Süleymaniye in Northern Iraq, 15 fighter planes hit six villages for two hours. Panicking, the peasants left their houses.

According to the report by Peyamner, a PKK spokesperson said a PKK militant was injured in the attack.

The letter of permission which enables the Turkish Armed Forces to have operations in Northern Iraq will expire on October 17. The government sent the letter of permission to the Parliament in order to get another year. (TK/TB)
